The treatment basics

The skin on the back has a higher density of sebaceous glands and a thicker stratum corneum compared to the face, which makes it more prone to follicular impaction and inflammatory lesions. This treatment utilizes Face Reality®’s professional‑grade formulations, specifically the Advanced Acne Med series, which contains benzoyl peroxide as the primary active ingredient to reduce acne‑causing bacteria and clear pores.

The product line is available in 2.5%, 5%, and 10% concentrations, allowing the practitioner to select the appropriate strength based on the client’s sensitivity and severity of breakouts. The Micro‑Smooth Technology optimizes efficacy while minimizing potential irritation and dryness, and additional soothing ingredients — sodium hyaluronate to attract moisture and boost skin resilience, and bisabolol to calm irritated tissue — help maintain barrier function during the treatment process.

Extractions are performed only on non‑inflamed comedones to prevent tissue trauma, ensuring a balanced approach that addresses both active breakouts and residual hyperpigmentation.
